The real estate industry is in the midst of one of the most
transformative periods in its history. Market conditions are
shifting rapidly. REALTORS® are navigating new legislation, emerging technologies, affordability pressures, and evolving client expectations. Meanwhile, real estate boards across the province are being challenged to provide the tools and services Members want and need, at price points that are competitive, with some choosing to consolidate or restructure entirely.
OREB is no exception. Over the past year, we’ve had to make
some tough decisions to respond to these changes and
position the organization and our Members for long-term
success. At the same time, we’ve heard clearly from our Members: what we do matters—but how we do it matters just as much. Delivering value means making smart, future-focused choices.
The 2026–2028 Strategic Plan isn’t just about where we are
now—it’s about where we’re going and how we’ll get there.
It’s grounded in values that matter to our Members: Member
success, community, professionalism, and future-focused leadership.
Over the past year, we’ve begun laying important groundwork to better position both the organization and its Members for what’s ahead. That includes investing in advocacy, strengthening relationships with municipal leaders, working more closely with neighbouring boards, expanding professional development, and improving how and when we communicate.
This plan builds on that momentum. It lays out a clear approach to supporting REALTOR® success, strengthening community relationships, and making sure OREB stays relevant, sustainable, and responsive in a rapidly changing industry.
This isn’t just about strategy—it’s about making our Members work easier, removing barriers, and ensuring our Members have the support they need to thrive.
